What is little known to those from elsewhere is that Naples is one of the most generous philanthropic communities anywhere.  Neapolitans are generous with their gifts of time, talents, and money for hundreds of worthy charities that directly benefit the area.

One of many upcoming events is the Great Venetian Duck Race,  scheduled to take place on January 17th.  Proceeds will benefit the Children's Museum of Naples, conceived in 2002 and soon to become a reality.
